“God Knows My Heart”
Have you ever tried to correct someone in their wrong doing, or gently let them know that they’re sinning and the Lord wouldn’t be pleased? Then they come back with “God knows my heart”. It’s mostly said by those who want to continue in their sin because it’s satisfying to the flesh. Today I’m here to tell you YES! God DOES indeed know your heart!
This isn’t to be taken as “I can continue doing as I please”. As written in Romans 6:1-2, we shouldn’t continue sinning just because we know we serve a forgiving God. Because there is no forgiveness for WILLFUL sins, as we read in Hebrews 10:26-27. God knows the secrets of our hearts (Ps. 44:21) Nothing is hidden from Him. He sees not only our actions. but also the motivations behind them.
God’s knowledge of our hearts is complete and perfect, showing His deep concern for our true selves. This understanding offers both comfort and a call to sincerity in our lives—knowing that He desires honesty and transparency in our relationship with Him.
So yes, God DOES know your heart. But is He PLEASED with what He knows?
